Year 6, learnt how to transfer an image of a Winter scene onto another piece of paper. They then outlined their transfer and coloured it in. These images will be copied onto card, making a special Christmas card to take home.

A bit of gold and red sparkle
Year 6 created a Christmas tree collage using gold paper. They then embellished their trees with red and gold sparkles. The trees will be adding a splash of colour to the COVID testing centre in Newport.

The collages are beginning to take shape. They look so effective. Almost finished.
Klimt Collage
Year 6 continued with their Klimt collages. They are starting to take shape with some children adding in black crinkle paper to follow the the design of the tree.
Remembrance Day Art
Year 6 chose to commemorate their Remembrance Day poppies in a variety of ways. Some drew and coloured their own versions, some collaged a poppy image and some chose to colour an image. A very colour display of poppies.
Collage
Today, year 6 started collaging their versions of Klimt’s Tree of Life. It’s very much a work in progress. I look forward to seeing how they will progress over the next few weeks.
Tree of Life collage
Year 6 started preparing to create their own tree of life collage. Working with a partner, they sketched a larger simplified version of the tree and collected a variety of materials – fabric and paper to use as the background for their collage.
