LO: to design and plan a Victorian Christmas gift
Osborne House has issued a challenge, to create a gift fit for a queen. Some of the gifts will be displayed at Osborne House. We set about finding out about Victorian Christmas traditions. The children were surprised to find out that all our Christmas traditions come from the Victorians. They also watched a a video showing a typical Victorian Christmas, noticing the differences and similarities between then and now. The children then chose some activities to plan and design: Toy theatre, a keepsake box and table mats.
