Year 6 had an interesting day exploring some of Banksy’s artwork. The focused on examples of how he has added modern day images to classical works of art. They then took a line drawing of The Finding of Moses, a classical piece of art to create their own Banksy -like subversive piece of art. They added subversive elements to the classical line drawing using transfer paper and stencils taken from some of Banksy’s work and cutouts from magazines. Still a work in progress, it’ll be interesting to see what stories these new pieces of art tell.
